Now that you've got your Modules in place, it's time to add content to your Modules. Remember, Modules make it so that you can share files, assignments, discussions and more with students in an orderly fashion.

Here are the content categories that you can add on Canvas. These options have a link to a Canvas Guide for a more thorough overview. Feel free to explore which options will be most useful to you:

Assignments (assigned task with online submission - or simply an entry in your gradebook for an assignment completed on paper in a face-to-face class.)
Files (a file that you upload--for example a PDF or PPT) (Note: It is not recommended that you share "files" tab in your navigation tabs.
Discussions (an online discussion board).
Quizzes (a quiz or survey that you build and students take in Canvas)
Pages (like a Word Doc - a page within Canvas that can host media and other "rich" content)
Text Headers (a place to put in an extra line of text to help organize content within a Module)
External URL (an external link--for example a webpage or even a google doc)
External Tool (an external app that you link to your Canvas course)
